OUTSCAPE

Outscape: Writings on Fences and Frontiers. Knoxville Writers' Guild. 2008

I have had the great fortune to work on a project edited by an old friend...Jesse Graves, and (a new friend) Jessie Janeshek. The Knoxville Writers' Guild will release this new anthology in October, and as I finalize the pages to send to the printer I can't help but say something about the work inside. It is a wonderful collection of local writers and artists speaking on the subject of fences and frontiers. Jesse and Jessie did a wonderful job in taking works (fiction, poetry, essays, and visual art) by a group of very different people and whittling them into to a cohesive, thought-provoking book on our fences and frontiers...the land and our relation to it...the cover photo is by another friend (jw lawson), and although I've chosen to obscure almost all of it (more on that later), it still manages to give us a slim shot at what the book holds inside...a sliver of our region, and a peek around the corner into our OUTSCAPE. Check it out in October. Link below:
